What do Bud Grant, Gump Worsely, Jack Morris and HANA have in common? They all did something in Minnesota!
The Pool Party moves to Canterbury this weekend, race 8, a turf race with a nice deep field. Details to come.

I just received my Canterbury marketing e-mail and sure enough, in living color, was promotion of the Pool Party. This is the second track in a row that has embraced the Pool Party. With tracks realizing that they can promote this and make a huge score on the race (without having to do anything like reducing takeouts, by the way), it may be getting to be time to take it to the next level - there is a "next level" planned, I hope. Now that we're getting their attention - how do we use it to affect change?
I just finished looking at the HANA Track Spreadsheet. This chart says it all. How can the sport survive as a viable betting venue with that kind of take out? How can we survive betting into that? Can we find a way to use positive reinforcement for the better takeout venues? Why can't the Pool Parties be held at these tracks? In these pools? Steve.
I would also like to see the Pool Party focus on the lower takeout tracks.
