Thursdays handle at Santa Anita was the lowest in decades .. $1.9M. vs about $2.8M last year on the same day. An astounding 40%++ drop. Coupled with an endless array of 5-6 horse fields on the horizon (due to a brain-dead decision to race five days a week) there appears to no end to the incompetence of the decision makers in this state!!!
