Great job compiling this info and putting a spotlight on takeout and other issues that affect horse players. Keep up the good work.
Great job!!!! If we can compare the takeout against other gambling products such slots, craps, football, etc and publish it to all the blogs, media, twitter, facebook then we can put a lot of awareness among horseplayers. This might convince the racing industry to solve its broken business model.
Never in my 25 years of following horse racing has there been upfront discussion about the usurious takeout rates and the need to fix the business model.
If and when we get down to fixing it,let us make sure to leave the state out of the equation, please.
Horse Racing could use the funds to solve many of its problems first and foremost.
Pennsylvania's racing commission should get a copy of this. If they aren't embarrassed and prepared to do something about it, they should be fired.
